Tom Naylor-Leyland, heir to the Fitzwilliam Estate, is a leading player in the We Love Malton promotional group and his enthusiasm for putting Malton on the map as a place for people to live, work and visit is nothing short of contagious.
For the last four years we’ve worked closely with Tom and the We Love Malton team to help position Malton as a tourist destination of choice and the food capital of Yorkshire. The below case study outlines how, from an initial brief, we’ve created and developed the campaign brand to include the Malton Monthly Food Market, Made in Malton, Malton Food Lovers Festival, Malton Cookery School, Malton Brassweie and the Malton Game & Seafood Festival.
In 2013, Space Creative was tasked with creating a visual identity for the brand new We Love Malton campaign. The overarching identity and theme needed to encompass all the various festivals, campaign activities and local success stories such as Made in Malton, Malton Cookery School and the Malton Monthly Food Market.
We worked closely with the Estate and the We Love Malton Team to create a range of initial logo designs and visual identity concepts. After choosing a design style, we developed a suite of sub-brands before designing and producing all the promotional materials such as adverts, leaflets, festival brochures, banners and direct mail pieces.
The identity, design and production of the marketing collateral was immensely well received and we’re delighted to still be supporting our local rural economy in this, the campaign’s fourth, year.
